Teenager

This kid is officially a teenager! What in the world, how'd that happen? He is responsible, smart, always hungry, a great big brother and a pretty handsome kid! He got a new backpack for hiking and spent his own money on an awesome camp stove.
Happy 13th Jake!
We Love You!

At the DC Visitor Center for the handbell concert.

He and Tess are great friends and enjoy playing together.

This baby girl LOVES her "bubby". Jake totally shocked her by getting in to play during tubby time.

Birthday morning ice cream for breakfast in bed.

SC visit for Grandma Great

After finding out that Grandma Great was moved to an assisted living/nursing home we decided to take a long weekend and head down to visit one of our most favorite people! We had a fantastic trip. Aubree did pretty well on the drive. We broke up the long trip with visiting the Alvarez family and staying in a hotel.  We went to the Zoo and then stayed the first night with Uncle Harold. The kids loved dancing around while Uncle Harold played music. That night Aubree woke at 2am and wouldn't go back to sleep. After standing with her for an hour and a half Dan put her in the car and drove around with her. Little stinker didn't fall asleep until about 7am only to come home and eat breakfast by 8. We spent Saturday with Grandma Great and then that night we stayed with Grandma Riley. Sunday morning we went to church in Lexington and then visited Lindel and Bill.  We sure enjoyed our visit with them...it'd been far too long. The kids had a blast playing in the yard and feeding the chickens. We decided to go back and see Grandma Great one last time before leaving. It was a teary good bye for all of us knowing it may be the last time we saw our Great Grandma. Clara ran back and hugged her 20 times before finally coming out to the mini van. We will cherish the memories made and love we felt from family on this trip forever!

Lindel and Bill's backyard...

At the Zoo. It was so fun to watch Aubree see all the animals for the first time!
We loved seeing the seals.

Dancing to Uncle Harold's music.

Entertaining Grandma Great with all our silliness.

Lindel and Bill sure have some fun toys!
