Aubree is 2

Aubree turned 2. We celebrated kinda quickly between Dan getting home from work and then he and Jake taking off to the church for YM. I made cupcakes from scratch and bought ice cream. Aubree got a new play dough kit and a slide. She loves going to Aunt Bonnie's house and playing with their indoor slide so that's what she now has. All the kids absolutely adore Aubree. She still has all of us wrapped around her little fingers.

Aubree still loves being outside. Over the past month she mastered the art of jumping on the trampoline. She asks for the "trampoleen" constantly. She has gone through phases of what she's really into. For a long while it was the moon, then it was all about Moana, now it's Nemo. She still enjoys reading her board books. At night she prefers Dan to put her to bed when he can. If it's me, I sit on the floor in front of the rocking chair and read to her while she rocks on her own. She takes one nap in the afternoon which ranges from 1-2 hours depending on the noise of the other kids.

She talks amazing well. Everyone is surprised at how well she says words and the sentences she uses now. Dan and I love that she still does "filler" words in between the words she knows. She calls a lollipop a "ba-pop" and a popcicle  a "cock-i-dull".

She is, by far, the most spoiled of our kids. I carry around lollipops whenever we go out to make shopping easier. Dan and Jake spoil her with chocolate chips and popsicles.  She is a very clean eater. She doesn't like her tray to be messy and will tell me to "clean up".

She finally loves nursery! Sacrament meeting is usually spent with us counting down to nursery time. I'm really grateful for Patti Lui and Becky Woodruff for being so good with her. Many times they changed her poopie diaper so that Aubree wouldn't be sad leaving me again. And now she loves them! She travels in the car best if we are listening to primary music.

A Saturday For The Books...

Four Baptisms

Two Birthday Parties

Four soccer games

A lot of driving.

And One missed Relief Society Activity...

The day began with Abby and I attending 2.5 hours of baptisms for 3 primary kids and one convert while Dan took Clara to her last soccer game. Then I raced home and threw everyone’s swimming suits and gear in a bag to head to a pool party but first dropped Dan and everyone but Tess at Abby’s last soccer game and then drove Tess to Skate Frederick for her birthday party. Got back to the field to pick up the rest of the family to go to the pool party. After 2 hours of swimming we loaded everyone up, picked up Tess in Frederick and got home with enough time to get changed and head to the varsity soccer tournament where Jake and Tess played and won and then played again, the the top team in the league, and WON the tournament!!! I didn’t feel like I could leave Dan with all the kids at the tournament at bed time to go to the Relief Society activity so I stayed and enjoyed the game. As the sun was setting at the beginning of the last game the weather turned perfect and enjoyable. One of the best moments of the day was having Aubree run over and over in the grass into my open arms. So happy, bouncing Rosie cheeks and curly golden locks. Cutest thing ever!

Phew... can we rest now.
