Women Session Utah Trip 2019

We flew out with Bonnie, C.C. and Lydia. Unfortunately we boarded to late on Southwest to have decent seats. Abby, Lydia and I were on the very last row, right next to the bathroom. C.C. and Tess sat together and Bonnie was on her own. The girls had a great time on the flight together. We spent the next 4 days with Bonnie and girls and Grandma and Grandpa Larry. We spent time in Provo and SLC. We were able to be sneaky and sit together in the Conference Center for the Women's Session which was incredible. Although plans changed drastically when Grandma Riley passed away our Plan A-I worked just fine!

Abby's Top 3
1.
2.
3.

Tess's Top 3
1. Going to the Provo City Temple and being baptized by Grandpa and being a witness.
2. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Carmel Apple (and shopping)
3. Playing the "slip" game with Tate and Lucas outside and hearing them laugh!

My Top 3
1. Watching the girls jump on the fancy hotel bed...Grandma started it!
2. Women's Session: Feeling the spirit and love bursting from our Prophet Pres. Nelson. I really felt the spirit witness to me again that he is a prophet of God sent specifically for this time for us. He understands and loves women more than I think I've ever felt from any other prophet or general authority. I loved being in the Conference Center and soaking in the spirit and message of the beautiful songs...and not being distracted by seeing them on a screen and making mental notes on make up and hair does:)
3. Sitting on Temple Square on a beautiful Fall Sunday and listening to Conference.
*Bonus* Catching up with my sisters. It just isn't the same over the phone. I love my family!

Tess

School: Tess had a goal of All A's this year in school and she did it! She decided to try out fo the Spring Musical Mary Poppins Jr. and made the ensemble.  She was so fun to watch on stage. She stayed in character and was bubbly and energetic. I loved watching her in this as well as at the end of the year school chorus club concert. She has definitely got a natural talent and stage presense.
Supportive: Tess is so kind and thoughtful. And quite creative. I loved the "wishing you a speedy recovery" card she made that we gave to the Smith's Grandma battling cancer. When Jake ran in the All-County Track Competition Tess made him a cake! She is the first to notice someone needs help or cheering up. She is the best big sister my 3 girls could look up to as an example and friend.
Sports: Dan took the older 3 skiing again this Winter. Tess is a dare-devil like her Dad and loved it. She has really been fun to watch in soccer as she's gained confidence and skill. She has a competitive streak you'd never think was there. She is a fast runner and a great team player.
Teenager: Tess turned 13 this Summer! I have noticed a change in her, emotionally and physically, especially this Summer. She has started to wear mascara every once and awhile and shaves her legs now. Crazy- my baby girl is growing up.
